On Città Nuova Online we recommend two articles in Italian: Silvano Gianti presents two different overviews about Milan.
The former, titled “Una città in cerca di un Patto” (A city looking for a Pact), starts from the presentation of the report prepared by the Ambosianeum Foundation “Milano 2010. Welfare ambrosiano futuro cercasi” (Milan 2010: looking for a future of the Milanese welfare).

Describing the needs of a city, which is more and more prey to the social and political crisis, the report proposes a new “pact” for the civil society, which overcomes the political alliances and, in case, messes them up.

Gianti gives us the latter overview starting from Cardinal Tettamanzi's words: for a lot of months Milan Archbishop has insisted in all his talks on the need for Milan “to find again her soul”,  in order to rediscover her own identity, and her universal vocation to welcome the different ones, the last ones, all those in need. In “Tutti responsabili di tutti” (Everybody is responsible for everybody else) a precise invitation is contained: do not withdraw into one's self-interest, but open up to the others' needs, in order to promote the common good.  Enjoy the reading!
